World Economy SLOWING DOWN ???

I have been reading very disturbing news and articles on the current state of the world's economy lately. Inflation in the USA has been Skyrocketing and it is becoming obvious that the global economy has started to slow down and the recent developments in America reflect this trend. Lehman Bros, a global investment giant was filing for bankruptcy protection and Merrill Lynch & Co. one of the world's leading financial management and advisory companies announced it had hastily agreed to sell itself to Bank of America Corp.The U.S government took control of American International Group Inc. in an $85 billion bailout to prevent the bankruptcy of the nation’s biggest insurer.

The American economy's slow down is surely going to affect the global picture and other giants including India and Chine are sure to experience a slowdown.

What's bothering me is the domestic picture which has become so full of internal fighting and power struggle not only between the opposition and government but also within the ruling front (BN). Looks like politicians are too busy trying to outdo one another that they have forgotten about this. I hope it is not too late when the powers that be wake up..........
