Melamine is said to be the culprit behind tainted baby milk products as well as fresh milk samples along with the recent discovery of tainted coffee in Taiwan, imported from China and this has led to milk products from China being banned in Malaysia and Singapore.
What is Melamine???
- A synthetic polymer which is fire resistant and heat tolerant.
- Uses for melamine include whiteboards , floor tiles, kitchenware, fire retardant fabrics, and commercial filters. Melamine can be easily moulded while warm, but will set into a fixed form.
Melamine may have been added to fool government quality tests after water was added to fraudulently increase the milk's volume. The adulterant melamine was added to the milk to allow the company to dilute the milk with water and circumvent government regulations, since melamine will cause a false increase in the measurement of protein by increasing the nitrogen levels in the milk.
First our Pets were killed......
Because of the unexplained presence of melamine in wheat gluten added to mass-produced dog and cat foods.
Now our Babies are killed....
This month in China, 3 babies died and 59 babies were hospitalized.
I suspect the number could be even more...
Maybe evan rising as i type....
Think about it before you have your next cup of coffee.
A cup of coffee ...or milk will never be the same......for now at least.
