India has banned smoking in public places from today(2nd Oct) in an attempt to fight tobacco which is blamed for the death of a fifth of all deaths in India.Offenders will be fined 200 Rupees.
Everyone agrees, that implementing the ban could be a problem and much will depend on compliance rather than enforcement.
How effective is enforcement going to be in the largest democracy of the world???
Could this lead to a rise in corruption associated with the police???

No.. i think the ban by Indian government wont increase the corruption rate in India..
but it will further benefit the people itself to save their money atleast...
democracy in india is as strong as in malaysia... and 200 rupees is nothing for many..
Ok lets hope the ban works properly...and indeed 200rupees might be too small for some to worry at all...lol
